Foods such as celeri, cabbage and cottage cheese are all high fiber foods that require more calories to break down than what the food contains. With this being said it doesn’t mean that by eating these foods that you will lose weight… Creating a calorie deficit by eating less and excercise will cause you to lose weight. Simple as that!

if you burn 3500 calories you lose a pound. if you burn more than you eat, then you will lose weight. but not in one day.

townsan1979 May 20, 2010 at 1:50 am

will you loos a pound if you burn off all the calories you take in, in a day?

VALOin2012x847 May 20, 2010 at 2:07 am

yea. but not much. the main idea of it is that certain foods will burn rather than add. also just some extra tips you should eat oatmeal about an hour or 2 before a workout, itll give you extra energy to go longer. and to your how long you should exercise question, i do about half an hour to 45 minutes of cardio and another half hour of weights about 6 days a week. and i went from about 180 lbs. 3 months ago and i got about a 4 pack now so ya. if that was part of ur question. if not sorry.

so eating an apple can burn it?

VALOin2012x847 May 20, 2010 at 3:01 am

apples and fruits are actually something called complex carbs. for example, an apple may be 80 calories. But, your body requires 90 calories to digest the apple, so you actually burn calories just eating. this also works with ice water since your body requires energy to heat it. Hope that helped.

you should eat low calorie things and drink water and work out and if you don’t lose weight your retarded.

My advice which worked for me was to stop eating foods that are really fatning, and keeping a sort of diet, and stop drinking soda. then i ran for about less than a month, 5 days a week and did a little bit of weights, and stomach exercises. oh and i ran about 2 to 3 miles a day. And in that time i lost about 10 pounds. soo that works.. it takes dedication and time.

RoyaleMac May 20, 2010 at 7:53 am

I guess a high protein lowcarb diet and lotsa water, that worked for me…
